Needles and Sharps Safety Training

The Needles and Sharps Safety Training Course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle needles, sharps, and other potentially hazardous medical instruments or materials safely. This course is ideal for healthcare professionals, laboratory technicians, first responders, and anyone who may come into contact with needles and sharps in their work environment.

This course is suitable for individuals from various backgrounds, including but not limited to, Healthcare professionals, Laboratory technicians and researchers, First Responders and any personnel who handle needles and sharps in their work environment.

Duration

 

1/2 Day Course: 2.5 – 3 hours

Online Version: 1 hour+

Location

This course can be delivered in our training centre in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, by webinar, or at customer nominated locations nationwide. There is also a separate online version for self-paced learning which is available 24/7.

 

Max Number

 

12 People per group for classroom or webinar training.

No limit on online self paced learners.

Candidate Requirements

Learners must have a good understanding of English or use of a translator will be required. Please advise us if there are likely to be any language issues.
For classroom based training at the customer’s nominated location, a suitable training room or training area is to be provided. 

Accreditation

 

On successful completion of this course, learners will be awarded a NST Certificate in Needles & Sharps Training. This will be valid for 3 years.
