


This Pregnancy at Work Risk Assessment Training course is designed to equip managers, supervisors, EHS & HR professionals with the knowledge and tools to effectively manage pregnancy in the workplace in line with Irish legislation. It provides a comprehensive overview of legal responsibilities, practical workplace adjustments, and risk assessment procedures to support pregnant, postnatal, and breastfeeding employees.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the legal framework under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and General Application Regulations 2007.
- Identify specific risks to pregnant and breastfeeding workers.
- Conduct and document a pregnancy risk assessment.
- Make reasonable accommodations and adjustments for pregnancy/postnatal/breastfeeding needs.
- Respond to pregnancy-related disclosures and manage confidentiality.
- Comply with HSA guidance and best practice.

COURSE FORMAT
The one-day course is delivered through a combination of presentations, group discussions, interactive activities and group tasks. The course encourages active participation and engagement to enhance learning and skill application.
