Nationwide Safety Training can carry out VDU/DSE Ergonomic Assessments on individual workstations to help reduce the risk of musculoskeletal and repetitive strain injuries to your employees and, also to ensure you are legally compliant.
Whether you require on premise or home working VDU Assessment, Nationwide Safety Training can help.
HOW THE ASSESSMENT IS CONDUCTED:
The focus of each VDU/DSE & Ergonomic assessment conducted by Nationwide Safety Training is on compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the General Application Regulations 2007.
VDU/DSE & Ergonomic assessments are conducted in two stages:
- Our expert Assessor conducts on-site workstation assessments.
- Users are asked a series of questions
The purpose of the questions is to obtain information directly from the VDU user. This is important information which may not be detected by observation alone. Users may give indications regarding workstation layout, seating arrangements or environmental discomfort caused by drafts, controlled ventilation etc.
VDU workstations are individually assessed taking account the layout and design of the workstation, environmental factors and user interaction with the workstation.
We will then write a full report outlining particulars of the workstation, our findings and recommendations for improving user experience and compliance with legislation or best practice.
