


Telescopic Handler (Teleporter) Training
This course equips trainees with the knowledge and skills to operate telescopic handlers safely and efficiently, in line with manufacturers’ instructions and statutory safety requirements. Training covers both theory and practical elements, including hazard awareness, pre-use checks, load charts, machine stability, and the safe use of attachments.
The programme is suitable for operators in both construction and non-construction sectors such as warehousing, agriculture, and logistics. On completion, participants will be able to demonstrate competence and confidence in operating teleporters safely and responsibly.

- Current legislation and operator responsibilities.
- Introduction to telescopic handler functions and capabilities.
- Pre-use inspections and defect reporting.
- Safe operating techniques for lifting, moving, and placing loads.
- Understanding load charts and machine stability.
- Working on slopes, uneven ground, and restricted areas.
- Safe use of attachments and quick-hitch systems.
- Hazard identification and risk management on site.
- Communication methods – signals and teamwork.
- Practical operating exercises and final assessment of competence.
